newspaper intro

What is your favorite newspaper front page? Why?

I liked the RedEye newspaper from Chicago, Illinois. The RedEye cover was different from any other cover.

What is your favorite headline from that newspaper? Why are you interested in it?

The headline from that newspaper was "Chicago Violence: Where Do We Stand?", The cover showed a map of the United States with an arrow pointing to Chicago, "72 homicides in the first three months of 2013".

How many stories are on the front page of your favorite?

My favorite cover had four headlines to different stories.

What do you notice that all newspaper front pages have in common? Look at design, size of photos, size of story text, etc.

I noticed that almost every newspaper had adopted "The New York Times" layout. Almost all of them have a main story with a dominant photo and a few smaller photos with smaller stories.

What are things that vary (or are different) on the front pages of different newspapers? Look at design, size of photos, size of headlines, etc.

All newspapers use different fonts and sizes of text, most use a horizontal photo. The size of the headline varies on the importance of the story.
