Part 1

The Story

I feel this picture tells a story, the amber tint and the darkened corners give an enhanced look to the picture. I think this picture tells a story of a girl, either striving to succeed or reading for fun. The stacked books give the picture a better look almost like a tower to shield the girl.

Action and Emotion

The action in the photo is obviously the water flying in the air, but the emotion is what you see first. The emotion on the faces of the two girls in the picture makes the picture what it is.
The girl in the center has a look of amazement which grabs your attention.

Filling The Frame

The frame in the picture is almost completely filled. The main point of action is in the center, but the surrounding kids fill the frame, there is only two corners that aren't filled in the frame, but it doesn't take away from the picture.

Part 2

"Junior Year"

The picture is of a student sitting on the ground in the library with ACT and SAT study books around him.

1. Why did you pick this photo?

I picked this photo because it shows how hard some students try in school to get into a good college. It also shows something that most kids my grade level will be doing soon.

2. What rules of photography are evident in the photo?

Rule of thirds, simplicity, and avoiding mergers.

Part 3

1. Where do you think you could take photos like the ones you look at today?

I might be able to take some photos like the ones I looked at today in a science class, outside, or even in a normal classroom.

2. Whose classroom would you like to visit and take photos in?

I'm not sure what classes I might go into, maybe some of my favorite teachers from the past, because I know their personality ahead of time and I can avoid some teachers that might not like me to take pictures in their classroom.

3. What will you do, as the photographer, to get amazing photos like you look at today?

To get photos like I saw today,  I will have to take every rule I learned last week into consideration before taking a photo. That's Rule of thirds, simplicity, framing, avoiding mergers, lines, and balance.
